A snow avalanche, with lots of tree trunks and branches and some rock debris, nearly hit houses at the Leue hamlet (municipality of Au), winter 2019. The avanlanche ran through a small, steep gully and contributed to the formation of a small fan on the terrace along the river Argenbach: avanlanche as a geomorphic agent! Similar events occurred in the 1980s and 1990s.
