Field excursions

The year 2002 was proclaimed by the UN as the International Year of Mountains. In this context, two international field courses were organized by RFASE in cooperation with die inatura – Erlebnis Naturschau Dornbirn. Excursions were held in Vorarlberg and adjacent areas of Germany, Liechtenstein and Switzerland. The first course was under the aegis of UNESCO, the second under the aegis of the Centre Européen sur les Risques Geomorphologiques (CERG, European Council Strasbourg). Field excursions have been held ever since, for young and senior professionals, and for interested laymen.The topic of the excursions was and is glacial geomorphology or mass movement, or a combination.
